Abstract.
Ricci flow solutions that exist for all negative times have special significance and are known as ancient solutions. In this talk, we describe the long-time behavior of ancient solutions to the homogeneous Ricci flow on compact manifolds. In particular, we show that along every blowdown sequence they subconverge smoothly, in an appropriate sense, to the product of an Einstein manifold with positive scalar curvature and a flat factor.
